Background
The local hillsides and trails have many hidden treasures for a forager. A recent discovery of a grove of small sour cherry trees has given us quite a supply to work with.
Goal
Attempt this classic french dessert using the foraged sour cherries.

Result
Success! Despite my lack of half and half, a cast iron pan for baking, and the whipped marscapone, I appear to have actually succeeded in creating a clafoutis. The taste is good, the texture good, and the sour cherries add a nice tartness that you don't get in the clafoutis I have tasted using sweet cherries.
